Description

Course Structure:

Day 1 & 2 - CCN1 + CENWAT Renewal AND Lapsed Renewal

Day 3 - CKR1/HTR1 Renewal ONLY (must have done one or both of these before and within expiry date)

Day 4 - CKR1 Initial/Lapsed ONLY (for those with expired certificates or wanting to add cookers/stoves to their ticket)

Day 5 - HTR1 Initial/Lapsed ONLY (for those with expired certificates or wanting to add Gas Fire/Wall Heaters to their ticket

 

All candidates must take their CCN1 + CENWAT (Day 1 & 2) which will remain the same whether it is a normal renewal or lapsed (expired more than 12 months).

LAPSED CERTIFICATE (expired more than 12 months ago) - If your certificate includes CKR1 and/or HTR1, you MUST select the Initial/Lapsed days (Day 4/5) additional to CCN1 + CENWAT (Day 1 & 2). Please do not select Day 3 if this is the case for you.

IN-DATE CERTIFICATE - If your certificate includes CKR1 and/or HTR1, you MUST select Day 3 additional to CCN1 + CENWAT (Day 1 & 2).

EXTENSION OF SCOPE - If you would like to extend your qualification into CKR1/HTR1 then please select Day 4/5 accordingly. 

Domestic ACS Initial Package covers training and assessment on some or all of the following:

  • CCN1 - CORE DOMESTIC GAS SAFETY, INCLUDING CPA1 (COMBUSTION PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS)
  • CENWAT - CENTRAL HEATING BOILERS & WATER HEATERS
  • CKR1 - COOKERS (can be added as an extra at checkout)
  • HTR1 - SPACE HEATERS (INCLUDING GAS FIRES AND WALL HEATERS) (can be added as an extra at checkout)
  • MET1 - GAS METER SAFETY

These assessments takes the form of practical tests and theory multiple choice question papers.

Prerequisites

Delegates will need to provide a copy of their previous ACS Certificate when booking onto the course.

You will also be required to bring a ID, A Passport Style Photo & Appropriate Workwear to the course.

The courses are designed for managers, supervisors or others who wish to develop an understanding of the basic safety requirements for personnel who carry out gas ‘work’.

More Information

This course is for new entrants to the gas industry. The courses include both practical and theoretical training. Candidates will be required to gain evidence of on-site gas work experience under the supervision of a Gas Safe registered engineer.
