The course material has been designed to meet the requirements of dedicated electrical energy storage systems (EESS) in accordance with the IET Code of Practice for Electrical Energy Storage Systems and the MCS Battery Standard MIS 3012. The installation of these EESS is work that can be carried out by competent, qualified operatives holding appropriate pre-requisite qualifications and the aim of the training course is to ensure individuals have the knowledge and required skills to carry out this work. Certificates are normally valid for five years.

Assessments consist of a combination of practical and theory examinations.
Prerequisites
Trainees should hold a formal craft qualification for example:
N/SVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (Buildings and Structures)
or equivalent earlier certification and 18th Edition
Delegates will need to provide photo ID and bring a passport photo on the start day.
